A 28-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter after another woman was fatally stabbed at a southwest Houston residence, police said.
HPD officers responding to Bat Sheva Lane on July 11 found the victim with at least one stab wound. Officers provided first aid before paramedics transported her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police identified Kayla Wynita Rodgers as the person detained at the scene. The manslaughter charge is an allegation, and Rodgers is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
