A Baltimore jury found Timothy Shearn guilty of first-degree murder and related handgun and assault counts. Sentencing is scheduled for October 16, 2026; the sentence has not yet been imposed.

A Baltimore jury has convicted Timothy Shearn of first-degree murder and related charges in the 2025 killing of Deonaye Johnson during a child-visitation dispute.

The Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City said Shearn first threatened the mother of his child with a firearm on September 9, 2025. Prosecutors said Johnson, the father of another of the woman’s children, later arrived at the 1000 block of North Arlington Avenue and was shot in the back of the head.

Jurors found Shearn guilty of first-degree murder, two counts of using a handgun in a crime of violence, first-degree assault, and wearing, carrying or transporting a handgun. He faces a maximum possible sentence of life plus 65 years when he is sentenced October 16, 2026.
