Houston police have announced an arrest and murder charge in the Boyce Street driveway shooting that killed 64-year-old Robert Gonzales.

Officers responding around 5:20 a.m. July 16 found Gonzales outside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead. Neighbors told investigators they heard a disturbance in the driveway before multiple gunshots.

HPD says further investigation identified Matthew Carrizal as the suspect. Carrizal was charged with murder in the 185th Criminal District Court, arrested July 24 and booked into the Harris County jail. The charge is an allegation, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
