A federal jury convicted Xavier Harris, Ardaries Harris and Jordan Fox. Roosevelt Veal, who is charged separately and awaits trial, is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
Three members of a Chicago robbery crew have been convicted after a five-week federal trial covering 14 violent robberies or attempted robberies of liquor stores, convenience stores and bars.
Prosecutors said Xavier Harris, Ardaries Harris and Jordan Fox used stolen getaway cars, masks and gloves while brandishing firearms. Jurors found Fox brandished guns in nine robberies, Ardaries Harris in eight and Xavier Harris in three. The jury also found Fox discharged a machine gun during the Irish Nobleman Pub robbery and that Ardaries Harris aided the discharge.
The convictions carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. A fourth defendant, Roosevelt Veal, is scheduled to be tried separately and remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
