D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old man on Saratoga Avenue in Northeast Washington.
Fifth District officers responding shortly after 11:10 p.m. July 16 found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1400 block. DC Fire and EMS found no signs consistent with life and pronounced him dead at the scene, MPD said.
Police identified the victim as Darrius Coghill of Northeast D.C. The July 17 release did not announce an arrest or identify a suspect, and the investigation remains open.
