Twelve alleged members of the Crown Hill Enterprise in Indianapolis have been charged in a federal racketeering case that includes a murder allegation.

The 28-count indictment also alleges kidnapping, assaults, arson, drug trafficking and firearms crimes. Prosecutors describe years of violent activity centered on Indianapolis neighborhoods.

The defendants are charged, not convicted. The government must prove each allegation beyond a reasonable doubt.
