Charges and indictments are allegations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Fifteen alleged members of two Coney Island-based street-gang subsets face charges tied to 16 shootings across Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn District Attorney says the 113-count indictment includes murder, attempted murder, conspiracy and weapons charges. The charged incidents allegedly occurred in nine police precincts.

Prosecutors say one person was killed and six were wounded, including four bystanders. All defendants retain the presumption of innocence.
