Damari Douglas pleaded guilty to the RICO conspiracy and admitted voluntary manslaughter. Allegations against other defendants remain unproven unless established in court.

A second defendant in the federal Lows gang prosecution has pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and admitted conduct tied to a fatal Minneapolis shooting.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Damari “Mari” Douglas admitted firing toward a passing SUV near West Lake Street and Grand Avenue South on December 3, 2023, after believing it posed a threat. One of his bullets struck and killed a member of his own company, and Douglas admitted voluntary manslaughter.

Douglas also admitted arranging straw purchases of at least nine firearms and possessing a Glock pistol fitted with an automatic conversion device. He entered the plea July 17. A sentencing date has not been set; allegations against the remaining defendants have not been proven in court.
